Whisky review no. 19 - Ardbeg Uigeadail

Good morning. Or evening. Or afternoon I suppose. Possibly good night if that happens to be the case. I've finally got round to another whisky review. This time it's Ardbeg Uigeadail, a very pleasant whisky from Islay that I've had kicking around for quite a while. Let's get into it.

Whisky review no. 18 - Sainsbury's Blended Scotch

Looks like I didn't do the regular indtoductory paragraph. That's a bit of a shame. Thanks goodness for the edit function. I can't have my reviews failing to conform to the regular format or people will get confused. Anyway, here it is...

Beer review No. 8 - Störtebeker Imperial Stout

It's finally review time again! I've been a bit busy and have started the youtube channel I might have mentioned in my last post if I remembered to. Search vermin1981 on there if you're interested. I post videos of me playing Fortnite Battle Royal really badly with commentary that my old friend Mr. Eaton described as "a cross between a professional FPS gamer and a snooker commentator",  and also "quite calming". I'm half thinking about doing review videos if I can work out how to film and edit them in a way that makes me look like I know what I'm doing. Anyway, let's have a pint.

There should have been a picture here but I deleted it by accident

Wisky review No. 17 - Bell's Original Blended Scotch

You might have noticed that I tried to publish this a couple of week ago but took it down. Somehow part of the text got a white background while other parts had become black on the usual dark background of the blog. I have no idea what happened, but the HTML was really messed up. I just spent an hour going though it and cutting out the bits that were changing the colour of the text and background. I can't say I've edited a lot of HTML, but there's no way it's supposed to be like the code I found there. It was absurd. Anyway, it's review time so let's go...

Whisky review No. 16 - Bunnahabhain Eirigh Na Greine Scotch - Batch No. 5

This one's been a long time coming for various reasons, mostly because I've been working my way through several Assassins Creed games, replaying Fallout 4 and then just when I was nearly ready to get it typed up they releases Shadow of War. I'm thinking about starting a gaming channel on youtube, but I'll let you know if I get anywhere with that. Let's get right into it...

Whisky review No. 15 - Islay Mist Deluxe Blended Scotch Whisky

Now here's an interesting thing. I'm doing a review of a blended scotch, which is unusual since I don't usually drink them. I'm trying to avoid being too much of a whisky snob, so I thought I was going to do a series on blended whiskies. It's not going to be a series after all. I'm just going to throw them into the mix as and when. I hope that's ok with you. If not, you'll just have to live with it. I decided to do this one now since the bottle's almost empty, and if I finish it off and get a review posted then I can take it to the recycling place and throw it into the container with a satisfying glass smashing sound. Recycling is cool. Hold onto your hats, it's going to be a rough ride!

A beery conversation with my old friend Mr. Tiffen

Maybe a year or two ago I was driving up to Sheffield with my old friend Mr Tiffen. He's a keen home brewer and general beer enthusiast, so I decided to wring every last bit of his beer knowledge from his mind. I recorded the conversation in the hope that I could make a reasonably informative blog post about it. It's a bit of an unusual post, but I'm sure you'll enjoy learning from a fellow enthusiast as much as I did. Pour yourself a pint or a dram, settle down in a comfy chair, and prepare to have your horizons broadened.
