Well, I'm still waiting on my whisky order from the government bottle shop. It usually only takes a week, but the Easter holidays means a slightly longer wait. I've been doing some research and finding out what I can about Bunnahabhain and whether or not I can get hold of a bottle of Young and Feisty Provenance. It turns out there are a few bottles in the country and I might be able to get one delivered, but it'll be next month. I've already used up this month's whisky budget. In the meantime I thought I'd share some thoughts about developing the palate.
Then he writes a blog about it. Here are his reviews and tasting notes for whisky, cigars, beer and whatever else happens to have captured his interest

Don't panic
I realized it's been over a week since I last posted, so apologies to the hundreds of people who check regularly for fresh content. There is more to come soon, I promise, I'm just waiting on an order from Vinmonopolet (the government alcohol shop). I've ordered a bottle of Bunnahabhain 12 yo and a small bottle each of Cragganmore, Lagavulin and Glenkinchie to work through the six Classic Malts. (Or classic marketing, take your pick.)

Ants!
I just had a look at the statistics section. It seems I've had a whole lot of hits, which makes me feel like a genius and was really quite unexpected. 39 from the USA, 32 from the UK, 6 from Germany, 2 from Canada and 1 from Russia! Thank you all so much for reading!

Trying to develop my palate a bit No.1
Just wanted to keep the content coming and since I'm not quite there with the Talisker review I thought I'd drop this one in. I was in the supermarket just now buying some smoked salmon to try with the Talisker and I saw these Norwegian sweets.

The future....
Just thought I'd do a quick post about what you can look forward to in the future when everything's chrome. "You" being my old friend Mr. Tiffen and PigHog from the straightrazorplace.com forums. I appreciate you both taking the time to read my waffle. If you're not either of those people I still appreciate you taking the time to read my waffle, but they're the only two I know about so far. Tell your friends, guys!

My new blog!
I just started this incredibly exciting blog. I like to taste things. Good scotch whisky is probably my favourite thing to taste, but I'm just beginning to get interested in cigars and pipe tobacco. I also quite like cheese. In fact I like eating and drinking in general. The other day I mentioned to my old friend Mr. Tiffen that I was considering writing tasting notes for various things and he said he thought it would be an interesting blog. So here's the blog. I hope it's as interesting as my old friend Mr. Tiffen thinks it might be. I'll have a go at a whisky review later.
